Children enjoy the fresh ocean air and free books this summer at the Open-Air Library in Sidney, BC!
Due to the recent Covid-19 Pandemic, we regretfully will not be able to host our beloved Open-Air Library program this summer. As an alternative, we will be providing self-guided summer StoryWalks on the Peninsula.
Open Air Library is a free program sponsored by Saanich Peninsula Literacy in partnership with Vancouver Raise-a-Reader, Decoda, The Town of Sidney, Peninsula “1000 X 5” Children’s Book Recycling Project, local libraries, Peninsula Connections for Early Childhood, SD#63 and many others.
Everyone is welcome to join us on Tuesday mornings to select from a wide range of reading materials, relax with a good book on our cozy blankets, enjoy the fresh air and take home a book afterwards. Reading materials are available for all ages; there is no need to register, this is a FREE drop-in program. Take ONE book home with you.
Spend your day at the park and enjoy the local amenities.
*we will not run the program in poor weather
