We are focused on bringing an awareness to the value of life-long learning and the sense of empowerment and growth this brings.  We do this by:

-Bringing people in the community together to share ideas, resources and experience that builds on existing literacy programs and looks to create new initiatives.  The Westshore Family Learning Tour is a great example of this!
-Improving access to learning opportunities in the community;
-By providing opportunities for the community to improve their own literacy and life-long learning capacities through information sharing, community events, discussions, story sharing and programs; and,
-Referring to the Westshore Literacy Plan, which you helped create, to guide and direct the areas of focus needing attention.
